Against roads being private, and against tolls unless the state drops the tax rates to the level they were at the day tolls were eliminated..

It is. How long did it take you to find a free article versions of it? I saw an insider version.

I’ve stopped reading the Connecticut Post’s website. Most of their articles require an Insider subscription to read and their website jerks around while loading and takes long to download. News like this will be covered by multiple media outlets so I know I’m not missing much. Jay

FYI

These Connecticut Billionaires Are Among Richest In U.S.: Forbes
https://patch.com/connecticut/danbur...est-u-s-forbes

"The number of billionaires on Forbes' 35th annual list jumped to an unprecedented 2,755 people, 660 more than a year ago. Altogether, they are worth $13.1 trillion, up from $8 trillion in 2020. Among those on the list, 86 percent are richer today than they were a year ago."

Looks like good news for CT. Of the 14 billionaires in CT only one lost money. I am sure the same pattern holds true for the millionaires too. Should be interesting to see the CT per capita (and household) income in 2020.

Connecticut received high marks for its fiscal policies from the nationally recognized fiscal think-tank, the Volcker Alliance. Amazing since it was not long ago that our state was among the worst. Jay

Subway leased 65k sq ft. Reports have been it's only for 100 people...
That's um kinda big for a hundred. Most office space is between 1 person per 75-125sq. ft.

There's only a few hundred left in Milford now.....

You are right that this is a lot of space for 100 employees but modern offices allot a lot more than 75 to 125 square feet per employee, especially in corporate offices. You aren’t considering common areas. Most now are starting at 125 square feet if you include them.

Also where do you get that there are “only a few hundred in Milford now”? Reports indicate a LOT more than that. Jay

That is interesting. I do wonder, post covid, what the ratio of sq footage/staff member will be, but it is not 650. That's for sure.

Its likely 500-600 in Milford now, just based on subtracting the several layoff rounds from where it was a few years ago.

One round alone (the largest) was above 300. I was told by employees. The others were significant, despite not matching that round.

Subway, no matter how we estimate its size, has had a very troubling last few years, and their Miami moves are disconcerting.
