Temp departures last 7 days. NorthEast got torched. West Texas was the place to be.

Wave off Africa. Where will it go.

Rain and storms tomorrow as we change the pattern a bit. Say goodbye to the Bermuda high after this week.

We had dew points below 70 several times in the last 30 days in our neighborhood cam. We also had 1.2" of rain in the past 24 hrs and were 5 degrees below average temp yesterday so records may not hold up if this continues.

The dewpoints dropped below 70 for few hours here and BDR but the "max" for the day was 70+ for 30 straight days.

My High/Low yesterday was 85 & 68. Thats slightly above on both ends. No way your 5 below normal. Wait until Thursday. If your location is cooler than most locations than your averages are also so dont use BDR's average..

Somewhat in the same vain as the comparison between NWS El Paso, TX and Bridgeport, CT …I noticed Savannah, GA and Bridgeport, CT are running neck and neck in monthly mean temp/average high/low/and highest/lowest temp. These two stations are a good comparison as they are both close to the same size, located on the water, and mostly flat terrain:

It seems this we along the Connecticut coast/southern Connecticut have had a “Lowcountry” July this year - our July has been solidly subtropical. No wonder my Southern Magnolia has massive flowers coming out right now
