Bridgeport(BDR) is now 2 degrees away from history.

Next obs comes out at 12:50pm. If they get to 90 today it will be the first time they had a 7 day heat wave.

I put this together after looking at all the OBS's from yesterday to find the highest heat index. Keep in mind there could of been a higher heat index "in between" the OBS from these stations but here's the official look



Something tells me we won't be seeing that again until next year or after.

Time to check your radar every 30-60 minutes. These storms are developing and going severe fast! T-Storm watch for Litchfield county.

SPC has entire coast in Severe Watch Likely.

...to say nothing of the fact that are running 6.8 F above normal.

I think this might be the number 2 warmest July on record at NWS Bridgeport (which is really only since 1948). Still amazing.

94.8 F here right now and very breezy...
