Music to my eyes.

Nice map.

Graph of the Dewpoints from my Weather Station since June 20th. Been hitting 70s for 3+ weeks with no prolonged breaks. "usually" we get a break where the max is in the 60s at least.. not this year...

I rarely post an entire U.S map but here's the current real feel temps.

In the 90s in CT at 6:30pm. It may look like we're the north most area with real feels that hot but it's in the 90s out West all the way north to Canada. They're dewpoints & humidity are so dry that the real feel is not warmer than the actual temp.
My relatives from Texas were up for a week and they were saying how NICE it was here in the mornings! I was thinking 75 and muggy/humid is nice? Wow.

Bridgeport actually came within 1 degree of a record for the date set in 1991.

Hartford ended with 7 consecutive days of 90s. That puts them 10th spot on record (108 yrs worth)

Interestingly, Providence shows 5 days in a row from July 4-8 this year when no one else does (I think NYC had 3 days in a row in that span for example). And it looks like Providence and Worcester did not make the top 10? I wonder when this week they were not 90+ when everyone else was.....(I realize that, unlike my rants on Bridgeport stats, I can easily find, I'm just feelin' lazy right now.....)

Hartford has 5 of top 10 stretches in the last 25 years. Boston also has 5. Providence has 7.

Interestingly for Worcester, it's the opposite trend. 1 stretch in the last 25 years (1988). And the 8 of 10 hot stretches are during 1892-1950.

I wonder if Worcester used to have their weather station "downtown" and now have it at the airport a bit outside of town, I've noticed Albany, NY has a similar pattern with "heat" records and that is partially the reason. I also just noticed on that chart that Providence actually had a 5 day stretch from late Aug into early Sept last year.

BTW, I realize that this doesn't apply to everyone last night, but still an interesting graphic:

Oh and here's the OKX version of that BOX/New England "all time heatwave" chart (only showing Central Park, I wish they'd do it for other stations like BOX would.....when Bridgeport was part of BOX and not OKX you know they'd have done it for them too). not updated to show this week's 7 day stretch:

You might be right -- Worcester's downtown is in a lower elevation, and in some sort of valley. Airport is also amongst parks and trees, although not more than 5 miles away.
