If the NC Legislature doesn't fix the funding issue with BSOM before it adjourns it may not get built. Even if the hospital intends to fund the project 100% it may back off if BSOM is downsized or worse. Lobby the Governor and especially NC Senate leaders and representatives if you want to continue to see the hospital, the medical school, and Greenville thrive.

^^^ Where is the cancer center in the picture? The building in front of the Heart Institute? I hope the politicans get their head out of their rear & get Brody funded in time. Eastern Carolina as a whole would really benefits from having this center here.

Vidant and ECU are two separate parties. I don't see the Caner Center not getting built because of this.

But I do find it strange/not smart that Vidant doesn't build more buildings etc for ECU. Charge them a $1/year rent or something. ECU shouldn't have to rely solely on the State/receipts/private donations to grow.

Ah, I see...the Cancer Center will look just like the Heart Institute. It all makes sense now...until they get it built & then I'll be all confused on what is what...that place is like a maze.

Too bad they couldn't add a parking deck with this building. Parking is terrible. I went out there 2 weeks ago at lunch & drove around I swear 15 minutes before I could find a spot after someone left...& the spot was in California I believe or it felt like it. What do they do with all the money they bring in from parking?
