Guy Smith Stadium is getting a renovation done. It should start in the early spring and finish late spring 2012.

Greene Street parking is finishing up. Hopefully some time this month.

Has anyone else seen the new Wayfinding signs going up around town. Even saw one on the Greenville Blvd side of Evans/Arlington. Look good and help get around town.

That's a pretty standard list of tenants next to Walmart. lol

BB&T is already on the corner of NC33 & Portertown, right? There's also already a nail salon in the Food Lion center, but I guess it wouldn't be too unusual to have another one next to Walmart. I guess that means the new Walmart won't have a McDonald's, a hair salon, or nail salon inside, like many new SuperCenters do.

There's a branch of the East Carolina Bank next to the Sheetz.

That's right...I was thinking it was BB&T.

I assume there will be some outparcels in front of Walmart? For full-service restaurants perhaps?

Nope. Just parking lot and the back of the Food Lion. The outparcels are forward and to the north of the Walmart on NC 33 and out front on Portertown Rd. There is a little strip shopping in front and to the south side of Walmart. There's a good map of it in the first link that I included.

Thanks, hadn't clicked on the link.

It's amazing to me that Portertown Rd (at least the section by NC 33) has over half the traffic of NC33 (again, the section in the map)! I'm not surprised since I used to drive that way home everyday...just figured there would be a greater disparity between the two.

I had verizon 4g for a few minutes in town today. I assume that they are just testing the hardware out because it only lasted a few minutes. Rumor is that it will be in full service around january.

Did you test it? Was it fast?
