the rent price must be outrageous there. the fresh market has been open for over 3 years now.

Agreed ! Because that space has never been rented in it's three years of being built, they would lower the rent if they were smart.

I think they have been trying to recruit higher-end tenants for those spots around the Fresh Market. What that shopping center needs is another anchor (glad to hear the news). I think traffic has picked up there with the opening of Cheddar's. I was in Fresh Market this weekend and it was very busy.

I just heard that they should be breaking ground on the new Walmart sometime next month.

i was on memorial and noticed a few bulldozers and other equipment in the vacant lot near the new taco bell. not sure what that might be for. plenty of room for something else there.

The lot next to taco bell on Memorial is a new CVS to replace the one just up the street where crime has been a problem.

If they opened in the old circuit city building it would be very profitable ! That location is so perfect for high traffic

also heard the other day that gander mountain bought overtons, which is old news i think. They will be officially converting the store into a gander mountain. probably means just changing the sign. never been inside a gander mountain.

I hadn't heard that, but see that it was announced back in 2007, when I lived in Greenville.
