Noticed the apartments on River Bluff Rd (now Harbor Pointe Ln) have been renovated & a new leasing office building. There is also a new car wash over there.

Wow,
I"m so glad they renovated those apartments. They were clearly one of the worst looking apartments in Greenville. Hopefully, this will help clean up some of the troubles they have in that area as well.
I hope they extend service into the rural areas of the county. I’m at my wits end with Suddenstink.
I actually saw one of their trucks going into the Star Hill Farm Subdivision this past Sunday. Dunno if they are getting ready to install, or locate other utilities because I did see an 811 sticker on the truck.
According to NCDOT’s press release, the project includes shoulder widening, which would bring US-264 up to interstate standards in Pitt and Greene counties.
That would leave the stretch between Sims and Zebulon that will still need shoulder widening, as well as increasing overhead bridge clearances. I’d say that I-587 will be complete long before I-87...
This project has been completed ahead of schedule.
I havent been active here since 2016, what did I miss?
Seriously though. Went to ECU from 09-15. Worked in local developments through college and have lived all over the country since. I still follow my Pirates and consider Greenville my home although I haven't been able to visit since 2017. What have I missed?
There are plenty of new developments, especially downtown. A few hotels are in development for the uptown district. A new food hall & market is expected to open in 2022. More to come!

ECU & Greenville hosting portions of the NCAA men's & women's soccer tournament in April:
This is excellent news, I'd assume at least 1,000 new faces in Greenville coming into this tournament. That should help some businesses and hotels, etc.

The construction of the $90 million Life Science and Biotechnology Building has transformed the view coming from the new 10th St extension bridge when coming into downtown. ECU's millennial campus warehouse building renovations is the next item to start in the downtown area as well as the aforementioned hotel projects. The Town Common looks different from one end to the other. And the largest student complex yet (the Jolly Roger) is being built on the corner of 14th and Charles Blvd.
And with the State DOT shutting down for awhile, no new projects have started that were promised 5 years ago. Who knows when the widening projects will ever start...so as business gets back to normal, expect traffic to get worse...much worse.
