I've stayed in STL for a week and visited my Sister Philly. The BW IMO don't care for there bodies and look rugged.
I live in St Louis and I agree with your analysis of your week stay. Of course not all but a lot. St. Louis doesn't dress very well either. A well dressed reasonably fit will stand out in St Louis.

I can't speak for everybody but I didn't have the best time in Miami when I visited a couple of years ago and it was for those 2 reasons you mentioned. Recently visited Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood area and it was a completely different vibe than Miami.

I'd say DC, Atlanta, NYC, Houston and Chicago in that order. I think people sleep on areas like Detroit, the Hampton Roads area, Dallas and Charlotte.
What interesting is that for the sistas, the best places would be cities like San Diego, Seattle, LA and SF due to those cities having about as many, if not more Black men than women. Some of that has to do with the military presence in those areas. So, for the sistas, try a city with a strong military presence, if you prefer Black men that is.
