Agreed. The test in Boston is not easy. In addition to your notes you also have to take a live fire test on Moon island and score at a certain accuracy. Personally I think its a good requirement, as you shouldnt be carrying if you cant pass that test. Even though many disagree, especially when coming from other states.
I have an unrestricted LTC that I got in a neighboring area to Boston, but just as difficult, if even more restrictive. But it is not impossible to get your unrestricted LTC if you follow the steps closely and show you are a responsible and experience gun owner.
With that said all the gun crime in Boston is illegal guns, similar to most places. The crime in Boston kind of reminds me of London. Less gun crime, but still quite a few assaults. London is hardly soft and Boston the same, but having less gun crime and in most cases less people of colour getting bodied should be applauded, not ridiculed.
London has substantially less gun crime than anywhere in North America, 5000% less than USA, 1000% less than Canada.
They have a bigger problem with knives, though this keeps their Homicide rate at 1.36 per 100,000. Well below even safer cities like Toronto or NYC, or San Jose. I feel like this makes London look safer than reality, as they have about as much crime (excluding homicides) as Paris, which isn't soft.
Wow, Seattle with 700,000+ people and only 9 homicides. Truly one of the safest large cities in America. Very impressive. San Diego too.
True. Seattle has also gained 200,000 people in a span of about 10 years though. Too much growth and affluence in that city for violent crime to take a foothold.
Was curious to see how weather and environment played a role in crime

The first list, shouldn't it be the sunniest cities? People have said that San Diego's weather is the reason the crime rate is so low, while the most dangerous cities have colder climates like Detroit and Chicago.

So he’s from Dorchester..but the question is what part? because we know Cedar Grove isn’t Franklin Field lol.
I think he lived in Dorchester Center area by Ashmont, then they moved to Milton (1960s). BUt as an adult he moved back in town to Cedar Grove.
Im not sure where exactly hes originally from in Dorchester, since he was really young and doesnt know much but it was near Ashmont. Rough. Very Irish.

Why is cloud cover being turned into a topic or significant crime condition?? Last I read about crime is the HEAT of a summer and add humidity is when spikes in crime are documented. Add some holidays that are a none cloudiness perfect storm happens in these areas. Just review the stats on times of the year spikes happen and days of the week etc.
Another homicide in Boston. This time in a housing project in Jamaica Plain. In general this is the worst housing complex in the city. Massive 1970s style high rise with much teen criminal activity. Aside from other crime here are a few of the most recent shootings there:
“It's the latest in a string of shootings in or near the Mildred Hailey Apartments, including:
4/18: Another person shot on Walden Street in Jamaica Plain.
4/15: Man shot repeatedly in hail of gunfire at Mi
