I think that they should spread them out amongst the city more. Having one area look more modern surrounded by older buildings doesn't look all that nice.
They can't spread it out though. This is the only site they can work with, and its very small for 5 gigantic towers, a memorial, and a transit hub. I think we'll just have to see how it turns out because renderings aren't accurate enough
I've seen those photos and yes, they're drawn to scale.
The towers are massive. Very wide and tall. Freedom tower alone measures 2,000+ ft from bottom to top of the antenna, and both 200 and 175 Greenwich will be taller than the original World Trade Center towers as well.
K, I'm glad there drawn to scale, a little cheap but they show me the idea of the towers.
200 and 175 Greenwich are not taller then the original WTC's, I looked it up and while they are close, they don't quite make it.
In response to PeterRabbit,
As far as your refering to Pittsburgh being the best skyline. I used to live in Pittsburgh and I worked in Allentown. From the standpoint of MT. washington, Pittsburgh no doubtedly has a nice skyline but far from the best. When you said, " Not a glob of look a like", (meaning buildings clumped together) well yeah, Pittsburgs skyline is definately not a glob of look alike since it only has about six skyscrapers. A city has to actually have a bunch for a glob to be present in any area. Pittsburgh's skyline, while nice is just to small. By the way, their is nothing to downtown, I know you know this since you live there. And as far as Endeavor replying that Miami as having the " #1 nightlife in the country". Well, clearly you have not been to NYC, LA, or Chicago..

Reason: fix sentence structuring
As the last in a long thread I vote for Chicago. I think to be on Navy Pier at night and see the skyline during an electrical storm is an awesome experience.
I don't like cities with light that sprawls for miles and miles like El Paso. But, I do like smaller towns with memorable skylines and for this I nominate Las Cruces, NM, Palm Springs, CA and Peoria, IL There is something welcoming about a lighted skyline after driving for hours in darkness for I know food and shelter is just ahead.
