And let's not forget the day that thousands of Philadelphians invaded DC on Opening Day and injected some life into your soul-less excuse of a baseball stadium. I made sure to wear my Phillies cap to work that day. All you heard on the Metro that afternoon was "LET'S GO PHILLIES!" LOL.
Sadly DC wasnt sure how to handle the vibrancy; they are trying to ban Phillies fans from Nats games this year

No doubt! The Nationals were marketing to the Phillies fans. You should also show the buses that came from Philly to DC to party every Friday night. Buses leave DT Philly at 5 p.m. and returns at 5 am.
DC's Finest just posted a video of a whole bunch of people that did not look too "chocolatey" to me. Besides, white people have sooooul, too. At least in Philly anyway.
How's that! 10% of the crowd is Ethiopian! Only in DC!
I am caucasion but would suspect Philly would be a city considered to have soul; just looking to the influence and significance of the Philly R&B music scene would suggest this. Also Coltrane alone to me is pretty good.
Lastly as this is DT discussion there are more AAs and a higher percetage among CC residents than DT DC (also more asians; DC in the DT is actualyy more caucasion; though is the top race in both by a considerable margin)
Yeah, this discussion is about Center City. And who are some of the people who brought their "soul" to CC.
How about the numerous CAPA grads who have made it big in the music world? These guys started their careers performing in Center City. Who started their career performing in clubs in Downtown DC? One high school in CC alone has produced more talent than the entire DC region. DC doesn't have 1/10th of Philadelphia's soul. Do you guys really wanna go head to head with us here? If so, it won't be pretty.
Also saying Philly has no soul is like saying I have a 46 inch vertical, when in fact its only 42
Also keep in mind that there was "The Sound of Philadelphia." There was no "The Sound of Washington, DC." Yeah, they had Marvin, but what have they produced since? Mya? (who's from Greenbelt, anyway). They usually end up dragging Duke Ellington into the discussion who had his hey-day like 70 years ago. They have no match for Gamble & Huff. The O'Jays. The Delfonics. Teddy Pendergrass. Harold Melvin. Patti Labelle. Phyllis Hyman. The Stylistics. Lou Rawls. Grover Washington. No answer at all! And they want to talk about soul?

Certainly not DC. I'd put Boston and Philly ahead of DC when it comes to downtowns.
