It is if you believe it is YOUR choice. Does anyone really believe it was Pharoh's choice to let the Israelites go?
Paul
Oh I Like where this is going! You mean that everything that pharoh did was all Gods plan, like harden his heart as well so he wouldn't let them Rah rah kind of senerio.

All I know is this: Salvation comes by faith, and that not of itself; it is a gift from God.
Ok, fine, but what does that all mean?
The word most often translated as "faith" in the New Testament is the Greek word Pistis, which means to be persuaded of the truth of something. It's root word is Peitho, which means to be persuaded by the evidence. The analogy would be as in a court of law, where the jury looks at all the evidence and decides which side is telling the truth, based upon a preponderance of the evidence.
Therefore, true, saving faith is an intellectual decision arrived at by examining all the evidence of the existance of God, the veracity of Scripture and the reality of Jesus Christ. Having looked at that evidence critically, one must decide, or chose, to believe it and take action based upon that choice.
So, how is that a gift from God? Because all the evidence you need to make that decision is provided by God as a gift to anyone who will examine it. From the natural world to His Word to the changed lives of others to archaeology, He has provided enough evidence to put us all in the position of either chosing to believe it, or chosing to ignore it.
I think you will find the faith we believe with is also the gift f God .
No man can come to the Father , Except the Father which sent me draw Him.

Just a thought
Yes, the Spirit draws us and, when drawn, the evidence we need to accept Christ as our personal savior is there, waiting for us. And that IS a gift from God.
Every person is drawn, but most either will not examine the evidence at all or will reject it.
When you profess, with your mouth, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes in.
The presence of the Spirit is evidence of true Salvation, and the evidence of the presence of the Spirit is good works and love for your fellow man. That's not me saying that, it's the Bible.

Stillkit, our heart can't even be drawn. Remember, it HATES God.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for a carnal mind to be drawn to God. It would have to be dragged to God. We would have to be like fish caught in a net and dragged to the fisherman.

You can't confess Jesus is Lord unless you have the Holy Spirit:
1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Paul
