The only surprise package will be your own. No one is saying there is no hell. Hell is remorse for the bad we have done (and haven't repented from) <--important). Seventeen percent of NDEs are negative and guess what, you are judge , jury and executioner and you will judge yourself with zero bias watching your own life review. Don't be too hard on yourself believing God sends MOST people to a place of torment forever....really, forever? Even Dahmner had mercy on his victims after awhile.

Plato was probably the first to hold a belief in eternal torment as he held that the soul is immortal, thus when one dies in an unholy state one soul suffers for all eternity in that unholy state. But then again you probably also believe in the pagan concept of the immortal soul.
