The Inescapable Love Of God

https://www.mercyuponall.org/2017/01...e-love-of-god/

The real mystery is why so many have failed to appreciate the universalism of the New Testament and why so many have tried to explain it away. Paul, for example, speaks eloquently of the triumph of God’s sovereign love; again and again, we find in his letters explicit statements to the effect that God will eventually bring all things into subjection to Christ and reconcile all things in Christ and bring life to all persons through Christ. As we shall see, these statements are neither obscure nor incidental; indeed, the lengths to which some have gone to explain them away is itself a testimony to their clarity and power. -Thomas Talbott

Here is a youtube link that discusses "St. Paul's Universalism" in Chapter 5. It's a rather long video, but a decent introduction for those unfamiliar with UR:

Universalism is a false unfaithful teaching of the word of God since it denies the revelation of God on how God makes a difference between the righteous and the ungodly , reserving the latter to eternal doom 2 Pet 2:7-9

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Again, it's speaking of the works of the flesh (v.10), the filthy conversation that the wicked are engaged in.

2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Gal 5:19 And manifest also are the works of the flesh, which are: Adultery, whoredom, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strifes, emulations, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revellings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things the reign of God shall not inherit.

As for your phrase "eternal doom": There is nothing in the cited text that speaks of an "eternal doom".

As for the term "punished": The Gk word is "κολαζομενους", having an essential meaning of: to be pruned. It also means to correct and moderate, to chastise and to punish in the sense of discipline. The word "punished" does not mean "eternal doom". That's simply your imagination working overtime...

Universalism is a false unfaithful teaching of the word of God since it denies the separation of Gods people from the world of people in general, making Gods people a distinct people 2 Cor 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

GOD has always had a people in the earth who are separate from the world in general. This is first clearly seen when the LORD saved Noah and his family in the Ark while the rest of the world was destroyed. It is seen again when the LORD called Abraham out of Ur of the Chaldees. Then once more when the LORD loved Jacob and set his people apart from the other tribes of the earth, and called them the nation of Israel. HE gave it even more emphasis when HE committed the oracles of GOD unto them and gave them a covenant of law on Mount Sinai.

He treated His Chosen People differently and Favorably Ps 147:19-20

19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 He hath not dealt so with any nation:
and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.

Those who parrot false doctrine will heap the responsibility on themselves for every soul they have led away from God.

My brother: the parrot has vast avenues of our Father in which he is oblivious.

Actually, UR doesn't do what you claim. Nor do any of the texts you've cited do so. You're simply grasping at air now and creating straw man arguments to try and save your doctrines. You know that as well as I do.

Father's intention plan & purpose

"This is how we fit into God's picture: Christ is the measure of our portion, we are in Him. God's blueprint intention is on exhibition in us. Everything He accomplishes is inspired by the energy and intent of His affection." ~The Mirror Bible

Romans 8:29=

"He engineered us from the start to fit the mold of sonship and likeness according to the exact blueprint of His design. We are the original and intended shape of our lives preserved in His Son; He is firstborn from the womb that reveals our genesis. He confirms we are the invention of God." ~The Mirror Bible
