Because he demands a penalty for your sin?

Where does the Bible says that?

God has the authority to forgive sins anytime He wants to.

God is all forgiveness, if he held something against you, he brings judgement on himself by holding unforgiveness within himself. What does your bible say about not being merciful and holding unforgiveness within?.

Where do you think God got this idea from if not from how he operates?.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Do you honestly believe God expects us to forgive while he chooses who he wants to forgive ?. For such foolish beliefs i cannot consider calling myself today what is called christian.

Nowhere does he say that "he paid your debt as a substitute," except within the minds of those who would crucify him as their ultimate sacrifice.

Beware of the fig-tree that has an abundance of leaves, but no fruit.
The exact words may not be in the Bible, but the "substitutionary atonement" is taught throughout the Bible. It is clearly seen in the Levitical sacrificial system. The sinner lid his hands on he head of the sacrifice , symbolically transferring his sin to the animal. This teaches us that man doe snot havs to die for his sins, a substitute will be provide. Jesus was our substitute.

I think it is also taught in the NT.

Heb 10:10 - By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.

The new command is very limited when we considered the whole Bible.

Fro your post it is obvious that we disagree on some things, How do you know that what the Spirit told me is not the truth?

They are NOT the same god. The God I know is not the god in the OT-the OT god is HATEFUL, IMMATURE, JEALOUS, OPPRESSIVE, INSECURE and MANIPULATIVE.

The God I know LOVES, is MERCIFUL, uses JUSTICE and FORGIVES.
Why not post the verses where God is HATEFUL, etc? especially where he hates marriage. You also need to know that there is a big difference between allowing and causing.

Jesus is that God. If you criticize the God of he OT, you criticize Jesus as well.

That does not answer the question when we both have the Spirit of God within, but disagree on something.

Yes, and the mechanism by which that can happen is Jesus' redemptive work on the cross.

Heb. 9:22

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

Matt. 26:28

"This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins." -Jesus
