The kingdom of heaven is not something you will be able to see and point to; it’s an inner treasure within, known and experienced through love.

Since Pentecost onward Jesus has a spiritual kingdom set up over his disciples - Colossians 1 v 13; Acts 17 vs 6,7

Those called to the kingdom of heaven [ Rev. 20 v6; 5 vs 9,10 ] have a first or earlier resurrection to serve with Christ for a thousand years over earth, or over earthly subjects of God's kingdom bringing benefits to earth such as at Rev. 22 v 2.

Those in kingdom of heaven have a heavenly reward and are No longer earthly subjects, but kings and priests in heaven over those who will be earthly subjects - Psalm 72 vs 8,12-14 - people living on earth in answer to the prayer 'thy kingdom come'. Not praying to be taken away to the kingdom, or be taken up to the kingdom, but for the kingdom to come along with God's will being done right here on earth as it is being done in heaven. God's will for heaven is good conditions in heaven and through the kingdom of heaven [ Daniel 2 v 44; 7 vs 13,14,18,27 ] good conditions will come to earth - Rev. 22 v2

A special kind of beauty exists in a single language called love, that is not isolated.
It has absolutely nothing to do with a thousand year reign, nor punishments or rewards.

It's a condition of the heart!

Doesn't Jeremiah [ 17 v 9 ] say the heart is more treacherous or deceitful than anything else and is desperate, Who can know it ?

That would mean that one's heart is like having a traitor within us. When one makes decisions only by the heart, then afterwards, after its over, the heart gives all the reasons why one should Not have followed his heart in the first place and did what he did.

True Jesus new commandment [John 13 vs 34,35 ] is about love self-sacrificing love as Jesus displayed.
That Christ-like love comes with the reward of everlasting life either in heaven or on earth forever.

Jeremiah is an OT prophet and he was referring to our savage and primitive ancestors. They could not trust their savage and carnal hearts . . . but WE have Christ who abides with us and His Holy Spirit (Comforter) guides us to the truth God has "written in our hearts" under the New Covenant. Christians follow Christ under the New Covenant . . . not the Old Covenant of the OT.

Why would a Christian limit themselves?

God's word is just one part (but nevertheless a vital part) of a Christian's armor Ephesians 6:14-18

What did Jesus rebuff the Devil with when being tempted? Was it not Hebrew Scripture?

We avail ourselves of prayer to God, supplicate for holy spirit, meditate on the scriptures both Hebrew and Christian because both have something to teach, put into practice what we "preach" 24/7 by not yielding to wrath but maintaining our peace thus refining and strengthening our faith. And when we fall asking for forgiveness and then move on.

Seems God gave all of this for our benefit so why only use some of it?

As far as the heart here's a "NT" scripture found in Hebrews 4:12 to contemplate, "For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart."

Seems that God's word has the power to draw out what's really in our hearts because sometimes our hearts aren't in line with God's purposes and sometimes we do need redirection.

If you do not believe we are under a New Covenant and can trust what God has "written in our hearts" . . . we will just have to agree to disagree. I trust that Christ abides with us and that the Comforter (Holy Spirit) will guide me to the truth if I sincerely seek it.

I'd have to say that "the Kingdom" is neither in the temple nor on the mountain.
