Do you think there are fewer illegals around now that work has dried up so quickly? I truly feel like I'm seeing fewer Mexicans around the non-Mexican parts of town. I read an article recently that many illegals are returning to their home countries because of lack of economic opportunity, and it wouldn't surprise me if Chicago was part of that trend.

I do not believe it. If anything they are spreading out across the country more. For any that do leave the country-there are two others to take their place.

You are over exaggerating with those numbers, Thats 25% of the city. I say its around 200,000 in the city alone.

Haha. I am about to ask a mod to fix it. Feel free to ask yourself though. It will save me some time.

It is my opinion buddy just like your 200k is your opinion.

Just count the number of hispanic kids in the Chicago Public Schools and assume at the VERY least two-thirds are from illegal parents or illegal themselves (because at least two-thirds in the system cannot speak English or do so very well) and you can estimate way more than 200k hispanic illegals from that alone. That is without factoring in other illegals from Europe, Asia, and Africa as well...

Give me a break.

I was going off 3.7 which is nearly four million

Anyway. I think with illegals included, the city population is 3.2 million. So the region is above 10 million...finally

Default New York County

I think New York county needs more people. If it had a couple of more millions of people like Cook county it could be big. NYC is as big as cook county too. Almost.

Do you people think it will be better with a population of five million instead of 2.89. I think so. Thats why new york is good. Without 8.2 million people it would not be as fun
