No, it's not just a glorified outdoor lifestyle center - that's just your take on it.

AS happens to be one of THE most successful urban brownfield redevopments in U.S. history up to this point. To minimize it like you just have doe's nothng to take away from that.

Perhaps if it was in Houston and replaced an ugly petrochemical plant by the Ship Channel you'd feel differently.

That's just it, though. That's all it's SUPPOSED to be for you. If you don't live or work there, it doesn't serve any purpose, nor is it intended to, other than a place to go to the movies or do a little shopping or dining.

Houston is in another league, it'll take Atlanta 20 years to even come close to present day Houston.

Please...Houston doesn't even have heavy rail lol. Atlanta has more entertainment than Houston, Atlanta isn't flat like Houston, our airport has more direct flights, our nightlife is better, etc. Houston does not even have the name recognition Atlanta has....

What do you consider heavy rail? Houston is a major hub for railroad traffic.

All real cities have heavy rail. Our rail line in our airport is longer than the rail line in downtown Houston lol.

So? Whose expanding their light rail when all the nimbys in Atlanta keep preventing any expansion of Marta. Guess who has more freeways? It's not Atlanta.

Real cities have heavy rail. Real cities might add light rail but they initially have heavy rail. I'm not about to go back and forth with u about this. The moral of the story is that out rail system is 30 years ahead of Houston. We can fly to 80% of the us in 2 hours. Our last call is later than Houston. Our nightlife is better. We have more entertainment than Houston. Everybody that I know that have moved here from Houston says Houston is not in the same league as Atlanta for entertainment/etc. You. Can't live in Houston without a car. Houston is more humid. Like I said b4, all real cities have heavy rail. Whenever Houston decides to build a heavy rail line we can talk about this again

Are you implying that you can live in Atlanta without a car? Better entertainment? Please, and yeah Houston is more humid, but it's near the beach too. You consider Marta heavy rail? It's a subway system, not a high speed rail system. Sorry that poor old Houston is too close to sea level to put in a subway system, but is that why they're investing in light rail? Who's the more powerful economic powerhouse? Where's NASA in Atlanta?

Oh and that 30 year old subway system that hasn't been updated since it was originally built, come on, Houston will clean its clocks when it starts going with its light rail expansions, high speed Texas Triangle train corridor, is a major financial center, major industrial center, major energy center.
