We finally got a sunbreak. Awesome. It's definitely a beautiful place when the sun shines.

Beautiful sunny spring day today in Vancouver reaching the low 60s with very little wind. It was a nice day to head to the Columbia River and enjoy the water with very clear views of the mountain. Sunset colors reflecting on the water were the icing on the cake welcoming in spring conditions.

It's gorgeous, sunny, warm, (almost 50 degrees) and perfect. Pretty much paradise and the reason people live here and put up with the wet, gray winters.

Daffodils are in bloom in the Skagit Valley.

This is it, folks. Time to climb out of those winter hibernation dens. Walk out and experience the warmth of spring including sun and blue skies. It's beautiful and and will continue to warm with the changing of the seasons. Today got to 70 for the first time this year and it felt great walking outside. It's shorts and t-shirt weather this weekend. Yes, it will rain again. But winter is over. You gotta love spring in the NW.

I think property values jumped 5% yesterday alone.
This is what the sun looks like!!
Pure Evil winter please go away FOREVER. Winter is meant for polar bears not people.

It's awesome. We didn't make it anywhere near 70 (or to 60), but who cares- the sun is out. I think this is first solid dose of natural Vit D since last fall.

I hope you are enjoying this late winter weather we're having. The lyrics to that U2 song Beautiful Day came to mind. 'Don't let it slip away.'

After seeing posts from some local SUP friends, I decided to head to the lake. It's exceptionally gorgeous right now with the fresh water running into it from snow melt and recent rains. The color is a stunning lighter green/emerald unlike other seasons. Then add in this amazingly warm late winter weather and, yes, it's epic conditions right now. It got to 75 and I was actually hot for this first time this winter paddling in the sun.

We broke a record at 68 degrees yesterday. Very nice day to be outdoors. And it was on a weekend.
