This is an idea that sprang from a few other threads asking about our weather.

I thought this thread might prove to be an interesting diary, or log, of our weather over a full winter to start with, and then we'll see how long it goes. Maybe if it catches on it should be pinned to the top.

People should post reports as often as possible, even when nothing special is happening. What's happening outside today? Show a picture, or a forecast or a screen cap of a weather report and be sure to say what area you're reporting about!

I will make a report for my local area below, in the comments. Hoping for others to report what's happening where you live for an interesting real-time perspective of our area weather that we can go back and look at later when people ask "What is the weather really like there?"

Here is a snapshot of our weather today. Wet and grey! This may be the stereotypical Western Washington October day. Rainy, misty, not a lot of wind.

Also have attached the forecast for the next 10 days from our local weather station. Outlook is actually for a nice sunny weekend. We'll see!

What’s the weather like where you guys are?

It’s been drizzling on and off today.
The temp is 50 and I can’t feel any wind.

Edited to add unincorporated Clallam County

It rained most of the night in Rochester but it is sunny and bright here this morning! - a little bit of mist rising off the ground. A couple showers are possible today but the forecast is for sun over the weekend.

Here too it's expected to be sunny this weekend, but it rained all night and has not stopped yet, though currently it's a light drizzle. It's 44F, so a bit chilly, the roads are still littered from the weekend windstorm, and our view of the Snoqualmie Valley and Cascades is blocked by the clouds.

I don't know how you guys upload photos. It wants a URL and I have no idea what that is... I never learned the twitters (movie reference - Logan Lucky).

Oh well. Nobody wants to see a lame photo of my urban street anyway.

Fall City was beautiful this morning. Drying now. Wisps of fog on the hills and low mountains skirting over the just past peak autumn trees.

This weekend will be excellent. Heading down to Olympia for youth soccer. Clear sky for trick or treaters. The last good year (2019) brought hundreds of kids. A Sunday night means more kids staying in the 'hood. I'm splurged and bought 5 boxes of full size bars. 30 to a box, do the math. I bought a large bag of mini bars for the sub 8yrs. I hope it's enough!

I spent all morning working in the yard.
Perfect weather for yard work.
50 degrees and no wind.
I was wearing a tee shirt and would have been in shorts if I wasn’t using a chain saw.

fsm... we're uploading them as attachments. It's in the Advanced Reply menu.

MechAndy, we worked outside too. Finishing up the fence repair from the tree damage earlier this week. It really did turn into a lovely day and is supposed to be a nice weekend. This time of year, we notice these and it's always a shame to waste them indoors.

Dogs thought it was a pretty nice day to be a guard dog.

Our eagle nest is in the right-hand tree above them.

We have an eagle perch branch about 40 feet outside our kitchen window.
Love seeing them.
Nothing like doing dishes and seeing one.
