I wouldn't know, since I don't have a generator being that the electricity seldom goes off in Stillwater, and when it does it doesn't last for long.

Anyway, it looks like nearly all of Oklahoma where it hasn't had its first freeze of the fall will get it tonight. There goes he green grass.

Rain rang in 2022. Power went out. Now everything is iced over including the windows. Back to normal. Cold and windy

High today was as the New Year rang in at midnight, around 50F. Been steadily dropping (25F now) all day, 0.5" rain when I emptied my gauge.

My damp hand stuck to the door handle as far as temps go. Snow coming down steadily.

Update - my hair froze. Lots of extra food for birds. Gold and Purple Finches have no business here around this time of the year and are hungry. Thank God for "scratch" because at 40 pounds a week I could not do bird food for the extras coming in.
Stay warm. Keep an eye on your animals and your neighbors.

Wife's been feeding juncos, White-crowned Sparrows, cardinals, meadowlarks, and a boatload of blue jays... never seen so many at once, I counted eleven all jockeying for position with the seed she gave them yesterday. She's keeping Atwoods in business with the bird feeding. Overnight we were 15 here and got a small dusting of snow, with a warm-up tomorrow before the next cold front Thursday (and then yet another warm-up).

She brought home two bags from Atwoods yesterday. I am stuck at home (COVID isolation protocols, they're more detailed for my work [DoD] than the CDC rules), teleworking, and all I'm seeing right now are doves and meadowlarks, but the wind is strong and the birds are grounded.
