My rainfall forecast was a little off for my area near Piedmont. As of 7am, 5.83 inches here at the farm 5 miles NW of Piedmont. Lots of close lightning bolts during the night.

Heads up for everyone on here for the Tulsa area and possibly as close as the Stillwater and even east metro area's of OKC for later today and thisevening. More potential severe weather including a few tornadoes, large hail and flash flooding beginning mid afternoon and lasting thru thisevening. Expect tornado watches for much of northeast Okla. by around 4pm. Really concerned about one or two strong tornadoes in this set up for the aforementioned area's.

Tomorrow the area of concern shifts to northwest Okla.; specifically Woodward into the Okla. panhandle. Could be a big day there.

Further down the road; more storms possible Friday in northern Okla., then a gradual respite in activity as far as severe weather is concerned before things ramp up again next week. I see us gradually getting out of this pattern after around the June 3-5th timeframe of which we'll transition into a more summer like pattern with unusually oppressive conditions thanks to all the abundant rainfall and temperatures in the low 90's.

Be safe everyone!

On W. 12th. It's been since 2007 since there was flooding like this.

In Stillwater, water shown almost up to Lakeview Ave. bridge across Boomer Lake. Earlier, the water was up to the outer lanes, which were closed.

I live about 20 miles or so from where the twister set down at (near Piedmont). all we had was some lightning, heavy rain but very little wind. Prayers and good thoughts to my El Reno neighbours.

We are drowning. I am about to issue life jackets to the mallards who have turned into some kind of regulars on the patio. City Hall did not get the joke when I called about something unrelated and asked about what it would take to get a permit for a boat deck to the mail box. Right now running water is meeting in the middle of the street and about to crest over the curb into the yard.

It's been a while since this thread was last accessed. In the past four weeks we've received nearly 15 inches of rain down here in the SW. We've had one 5" overnight (June 27), and a 3.2" last week, and from 1 to 3 this morning another 3.3". Plus a few 0.5 to 1.0s. No drought down here. The cooler weather is greatly appreciated, no 100+ yet this summer, especially now (my A-coil in my AC has failed and needs warranty replacement, no AC).

It is really nice outside today and we've had a really temperate summer for Oklahoma temperature wise.
