In Murrells Inlet it is 39 but no snow. I would take that over Jersey any day!

When the day time temps stay above 60 in Murrells Inlet I'll be back in a flash (well, after an 11 hour drive). I do miss SC.........

Mozer you are our eyes in the sky for the weather in Florida and MB.

I know you watch them both closely.

We did not get down to MB last year because of my Moms health issues but hope to make a few visits this summer. We miss MB too!

11 hours is not that bad considering the food that awaits you in MI.

I left my Murrells Inlet townhouse system set for the heat pump to come on at 50. Bet it still ran a lot last month. The water is turned off and the pipes drained, so no fear of freeze ups.

Officially December was the coldest December in SW Florida ever. However I still managed to get through it without turning the electric heat on once. The coldest it got inside the condo was 67, which is a fine sleeping temperature IMHO.

Today (1/1/2011) it is beautiful. 80's and sunny. The beach was crowded as a result, but still plenty of room for my beach chair.....

I like those days marked in yellow. I would like to put in a request for some more of those between the 15th and the 19th when my brother and sister-in-law come for a visit.

This gives new meaning to the northerners coming in and trying to change everything. I promise we tried to leave the cold up there when we left but last year I said we must have brought it with us. This year I have been blaming it on my parents (although I thanked them for leaving the 70+ inches of snow up north). But come on PD, what would you do if you didn't have us here adding a little variety to everything? You know you'd miss us.

'Course I'd miss y'all. Who would I blame for everything if you weren't here! Maybe we could install some thawing stations at the borders, as a required detour. While everything warms up to Southern specs, let you munch on some boiled p-nuts, teach you how to choose the right mayo, offer some talking lessons, sort out the ones who will soon be whining about bagels, you know, full service.

Yes, they could put that next to the one that stopped us on the way in and told us we must go right. I totally misunderstood and ended up lost in Bennettsville.
