Reminds me of Sheldon Silver in New York. He served the same position in New York, controlled everything in the legislature, and was after many years convicted of corruption. Illinois and NY are both run by the mob. Their public employee unions are infested with the mob.

Republicans Call for More Subpoenas in Madigan Inquiry | Alton Daily News

Madigan is refusing to testify (no surprise). What is interesting is the ComEd admitted as fact that they tried to influence Madigan. It's not an allegation or anything like that but is literally admitted by ComEd in federal court as fact. So we'll see...

"What we’re focused on here is a stunning admission of a decade-long bribery scheme that has been admitted to in federal court by one of the largest companies in the state of Illinois who also had to pay a $200 million fine as a result.”

It makes little difference as long as he is still pulling the strings in the state legislature.

Wow that's awesome!! Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth said the same thing too! When you're own party turns on you (and these are powerful leaders) you know the pressure is on. I love it and I'll take it!

A lot of the Dems are feeling the results of this election rightfully like a big slap in the face. Whether or not Biden manages to eek out a razor thin victory, the simple fact that a guy like Trump with all his glaring imperfections can appeal to 48% of the American people more than the best the Dems can come up with a polished politician with 47 years of experience is very telling; as is their failure to take the senate, pass the graduated income tax in Illinois and lose Illinois legislature seats to Republicans even in the Chicago area. The Dems better wake up and see that they are in big trouble.

Still their piling on Madigan and the organizations opposing the tax amendment still tells me they still just don't get it. The taxes necessary to fund their dysfunctional and corrupt governance is crushing this state and causing an exodus and their proposal for yet higher taxes sound like a big "let them eat cake" to the people.

We're going to have to raise taxes and cut spending. Neither side has all the answers on this one.

Let's start with cutting spending first? Ok?

Leftists never START with cutting spending.
