I dont see any hills, mountains or anything of that sort. Oh, because there aren't any. Aside from those nice areas that are also overrated, what else is there? I'll be too happy to post some pics people see everyday on their way to work...Sorry to ruin your fun.

Mister NY ... I can post plenty of pics of the Atlanta area that will ruin your fun also .... what is your point ... every city has nice areas and crappy run down areas .. do you go on vacation anywhere and stay in the ghetto areas or industrial areas ... probably not .. so why would Ft.Lauderdale be any different .. again what is your agenda with your comments ?

Mountains and hills can be overrated ... give me the blue ocean , blue skies and palm trees !!!

I have always considered Fort Lauderdale to be one of the most beautiful cities in America. Strolling along Las Olas Blvd., the old historic area near the Stranahan House, the beaches, Birch State Park, the "Venice of America" etc. Just gorgeous!

Other beautiful nearby places ... Mizner Place in Boca Raton, Lighthouse Point, old downtown Hollywood, North Lake and South Lake residential districts in Hollywood ...

*sigh*

I really miss the old fort lauderdale from the 80's. I moved there in 1984 when I was 21 and boy I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Stayed there until 1994. Here' all I remember... Dirty Earnie's Bbq shack, City Limits, Mr. Laffs, Shakers, Penrods, Summers, The Button on the beach, The button south, The playPen, Houstons restaurant where I worked, What was the place on the corner of Federal Highway where all the hot rod cars hung out and it was next to that huge burger joint that had all the toppings? Confetti's, Rosebuds, Franco & Vinnies pizza shack, Old Florida seafood house in Wilton Monors, Pompano Harness track, Florida International university's branch campus in Davie (graduated 1987 ) Anybody out there remember any of those? Oh almost left out Rolands, Septembers, the Bounty in Boca, all the shops along the beach we little mom & pop places and just so cool, Aruba Beach cafe, Joesph's, Christophers, Yesterdays, Bahia Cabana, Shooters, the planes advertizing all the specials in town flying up and down the beach, Dania Hilaigh,

I live in Fort lauderdale and I have to tell you that Earnie's Bbq, Old Florida seafood house, Bahia cabana are still operating. Houston restaurant and Septembers closed doors several years ago. Christophers is still on the bizz, like Shooters.
