Years ago, on the corner of Sunrise/Federal where the cars would gather was NEBA roast beef, which is now a gas station. A block or two north of sunrise on the east side was Fuddrucker's which somewhat took over the car gatherings on the weekend.

Houston's is still open in Pompano which is going strong. They closed the Ft Laud store due to the landlord trying to triple the rent at that location. BC Surf & Sport and Offerdahl's Bagels were also in that same plaza and they moved out as well.

I dont see any hills, mountains or anything of that sort. Oh, because there aren't any. Aside from those nice areas that are also overrated, what else is there? I'll be too happy to post some pics people see everyday on their way to work...Sorry to ruin your fun.
I was thinking of Snowbirding from England once I retire. Up until now we were looking at Naples area. The villas look nice there but did not want to rule Ft. Lauderdale out. Having never been there yet I cannot give judgement but reading your review, maybe you have more insight as to whether this is worth keeping on my list of possibilities with regards to buying property there. Are the photos (although very well taken), just cosmetic for a tourist point of view?
