This sentiment is understandable; but if you're willing to consider Tampa and Lakeland, there's no reason to throw out Orlando because of weather. There is no noticeable difference.

Based on this alone, I would recommend sticking to the cities in south Florida and forget anything on the central area including the coast.

I also think you will find more of what you are looking for in south Florida. Good luck!

Depends on what you consider cold. The coldest month of the year is January. The average high for January in Orlando is 72 degrees with an average low of 51. (Source, NOAA)

You get a handful of days here and there where the temp drops into the 30s overnight… but jumps back up into the 60s by afternoon. Maybe 5 days out of the entire year.

How would you feel if I wrote I was looking to move to an area that is heavily White? I would probably be banned from the board for a while.

You wouldn't be banned. There is nothing in the ToS that I'm aware of that a post like that would violate. That said, you would probably be accused by other posters of being racist

Probably not…it’s city data forum - This place is crawling with closeted bigotry. If one is looking to be offended, you prove it’s pretty easy to be so

Very fair statement. I personally wouldn't feel any kind of way, maybe think that it was strange due to the fact that finding an area with a decent percentage (10-15%) of upper middle class whites would be relatively easy to find in any state in America without much assistance.

Conversely, if you we moving to say Kenya and asked that question, it would be COMPLETELY understandable.

Heavily white? Or ALL white? There's a difference.

That was already answered when the poster above you used the word "heavily".

2019 University of MN paper, FWIW, "Home Value: Social & Economic Analysis of Black Wealth in Florida."

"In terms of aggregation, our results show that Fernandina Beach has the most considerable accumulation of black wealth in homeownership, followed by Yulee, Hilliard, and Callahan in descending order."

The whole 26-pg paper is here:

Good luck!
