And such a great effort too, her design was well worth the $20 if I do say so my self. $20 was pretty good money back in 1916.

Okay, because you got that one correct it is now your turn to ask a question.

Well, it's appropriate for the Wyoming thread, since Chris LeDoux sang it (but he's not the only one to do so)! It's called "I ride an old paint." Here's a link to the lyrics, though the part referenced above is misspelled, intentionally, I think (that's how it's sung in most of the versions):

Lyrics Freedom - C - Chris Ledoux - Unknown - I Ride An Old Paint

Here's Johnny Cash singing the same song:

YouTube - Johnny Cash - I Ride An Old Paint / The Streets Of Laredo

John Portugee Phillips is famous for a 235 mile ride in 4 days. He was sent to ask for reinforcements after the Fetterman Massacre. He tied 100 rounds of ammunition to his feet to keep his feet in the stirrups in case he fell asleep.

I'll give a tough one.

A dam was completed in 1910 and in that year it was the tallest dam in the world. What dam was it and where is it located?

The Buffalo Bill Dam at Cody Wyoming:

Quote:
Buffalo Bill Cody Dam in Wyoming

- Colonel William F Cody, Founder of Cody, Wyoming, spent many years promoting and attempting to raise money for this dream of irrigating thousands of arid acres east of Cody from the Shoshone River. Buffalo Bill Dam was the realization of this vision for the future of Cody and the surrounding area.

- This dam was one of the first three major ones built by the Bureau of Reclamation. Construction began October 19, 1905 and was completed January 15, 1910.

- Total cost of the dam (1910 dollars) was $929,658

- Original height at completion was 325 feet, the highest dam in the world

Great, I hope this isn't to tricky.

He always wanted to be buried in his tomb. It is there waiting for him, but he never got his wish. What is his name and where is he buried?
