When did "have" somehow become transmuted into "of"?
It could've happened because people spent more time listening when they should've been reading. If they'd read enough, they would've recognized the words they were hearing.
... the crew is driving out to the country in the woods (upstate NY?), winter, to rough it in a log cabin. Their car dies, they don't have a cellphone, no service nor utilities @ the cabin. They have to hike to the cabin. They have firewood cut & seasoned, canned food, pots & pans, dishes, water (a hand pump?). They're cold, wet, tired, maybe hungry. No matches nor cigarette lighter on them. They do have an axe, & the hearthstone is flint or something similar.
While camping I have occasionally tried to start a fire without even a flint. So far no success.

I've worked a lot with other number systems (mostly hex) but I too would be hard pressed to extract a root in base 12. If trying to prove a point I think I could do it by hand, if not proving anything I'd just convert to 10 and back.
People almost always says hi to me when I great them. Are you sure it's not you they are suspicions about. Does it happened allot to you?
Yep, allot ....
