That's deep. And it not only simply restates the insufficient info in the OP, it also fails to address ANY of the questions I brought up in my lengthy response--such as the employer's standard, pattern absenteeism, and employers' extrapolating use of sick time for their probationary employees ( if, in fact, the OP is one).

As Martha Stewart might say, reading comprehension is a good thing.
If you read through the comments I've addressed all of these questions. Yes, reading comprehension is a good thing.

I agree, you should ask for a written copy of the time off policy. Tell them you want a copy so you can be sure not to violate it in the future.

I'm not sure that asking to go hourly will help.

t sounds like they may be making a paper trail/excuse to fire you so there can be no age discrimination claim.

I hope for your sake I'm wrong.
This.

My experience has been that once they begin this process of things you may not even have thought of... *documented* because it can be talked about forever and that's different.. that it's the beginning of the end for you.

Anyone at work you can think of either has a problem with you, or just doesnt like you, wants you out? This is how they can go about doing it with cause. Even at-will, they need a reason for that eventual unemployment claim.

SMH at some of the snark in the thread, at least it is not excessive. I suppose there cannot be a thread without one. Okay, fine.

Every company is nitpicky about Time. You could be the *******, but if you are on time everyday get a pass just the way it is.

Still, you need to ask manager for approval regardless.

I have always asked for approval and it was granted.
