Forget this 2 day business! I prefer 3 days....Friday, Saturday, Sunday OR any 3 days as long as a Saturday or Sunday is included

I've had jobs before where I had to work Sunday thru Thursday and I did like having a weekday off so that I didn't have to take a vacation day to get a haircut, doctor's appointment, etc. I hated having my weekend be over while the rest of the world still had Sunday to relax, though. It made it difficult to go out and do fun stuff on Saturday nights.

I also worked a Tuesday-Saturday shift once. I was less fond of that.

I enjoy having off during the week as an INTJ, because I'd rather do my leisure activities when everyone else isn't, and with my job, I get just that.

One of the weeks I work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, the next week I work Wednesday and Thursday. 12 hour shifts. Normally would rotate days to nights but I'm taking straight nights, co-worker takes straight days... so I'm always home every weekday to dabble in the markets. Works out well.

I also get rewarded for working a "4-crew" schedule, by getting paid extra money and it eliminates a lot of having to cover overtime since the weekend is 'covered'

I have always felt 3 days off were needed. A weekday for things like appointments that you cant do on weekends, Saturday to clean and run other errands, and Sunday to relax.

Sat and Sun because when my Daughter starts school, I can spend more time with her if I am working.

Saturday and Sunday, because that's when all the fun things are going on.

Currently my husband has Wed./Thur. off and we both can't stand it. He's angry about it all the time and we have to miss out on a lot of things on the weekends because of it. We aren't homebodies, so this schedule doesn't work for us at all. We live for seeing bands on weekends and being a part of whatever is going on. Wed. nights suck for going out because there's nothing going on.

And guess what? Management never works any weekends. There is no one to contact when there's a problem. Not sure who is watching things, but it sure isn't them. That's just one of many problems within the company since it was bought out.

I picked Saturday and Sunday. When I worked retail, I had days off during the week. Although that was nice, it totally sucked when the weekend came and all my friends were hanging out because they had off and I was stuck at work. So yeah, I enjoy having the traditional Sat and Sun off now with my office job.

I will say though, if I had a choice to have 3 days off, it'd be Sat, Sun, and Mon. I don't care what anyone says, Mondays suck and when I have Monday off for holidays, going back on a Tuesday feels NOTHING like it does going in on a Monday morning haha. There's just something about Sunday night knowing Monday is right around the corner that sucks, and this coming from a guy who actually, for the most part, enjoys his job. I really wish the work week was only 4 days, that'd be amazing.
