I work three days a week for a husband/wife company. I have no vacation time, no paid time off, no sick days, no health benefits etc. I get paid an agreed upon amount for the day. This is a professional job which requires education and extensive training. The pay is "decent" (Competitive) and the work environment is relatively stress free. Does this sound like a good package?

Yes. Competitive pay for a part time job is a good place to be.

I agree with you. But, I ONLY get paid when I work. No holiday pay, no sick pay, etc.

Yes, it sounds good. I wouldn't expect paid time off or holidays at a part time job.

^^^I agree.

OP, if you work M,W,F but a holiday is on Monday- can you flex your schedule so you work T,W,F? In other words, can you work around the holidays and still get your hours in?

Most people call this contract work.

Sounds fair. If you like working only part time, stay where you are.

The position you described is not meant to provide benefits, or even a livable salary. Positions like this typically work best for all parties when the part time employee, for one reason or another, does not require a full time pay check and benefits, including time off. If this is not the case with you, go elsewhere, but don't expect a mom and pop operation to offer them.

Dang, not too bad, but don't you get bored? I mean, I have a real good life, but I work all the time, I get 30 days off a year plus holidays with very good bennies, I get free access to the gym, pools and spas, plus physical therapy, I get my suits dry cleaned and pressed and they feed me breakfast/lunch from a five star menu, plenty of eye candy to boot, a beautiful resort on 25 wooded acres.

I love the gig. lol.

If these things bother YOU, then why are you asking us about it?

It sounds like YOU don't like the arrangement or it doesn't work for YOU. Keep looking.
