Another sad fact about this garbage weather of 2012 is that despite what the rest of the country's had, convection has been totally dead in the water this year here, and there's still no chance of storms in the forecast. Pathetic! Even worse than last year was, and that takes some doing.

13/16°C, overcast and windy today. I was freezing while waiting for the train on the windswept platform with only a t-shirt on. ****ty oceanic climate.

12/12°C, overcast and rainy today. I was getting wet running to catch a bus on the windswept platform but my waterproof jacket helped, otherwise only had a T-shirt. ****ty continental climate.

Our cool damp weather has been associated with a NE wind airflow. These tend to bring the coldest weather (at least in daytime and outside of winter). Diurnal range of 1°F!

Well, Nei's climate does have a bit of maritime influence...but it's still a continental climate. For what it's worth it's going to be 77F with sunshine today in Fairbanks, Alaska .

Fairbanks' forecast for the week is warmer and sunnier than mine.

There's a chance Fairbanks can get overnight lows around 60?! Guess that makes sense since there isn't much night for any cooling.

We're still better than SE Alaska.

Now if I was truly picky about the seasons I would moan and complain that my climate lacks a true summer since it doesn't get consistent summer warmth similar to the way you say my climate lacks real winter since it gets spells warm enough to melt snow.

Another dreadful sad pathetic day with cold arctic winds blowing straight through the core of my being. Even a coat and hat is barely enough to stave off the cold. Walked out to Waitrose and back for my lunch and now my nose is streaming, better watch that I don't glue up the keyboard with my sticky mucus running everywhere.
