Average dew points in NI aren't anywhere near 70°F, so when it does approach or reach that mark, the body isn't used to such humidity and it probably feels more oppressive. Coastal Florida has sea breezes so a similar dew point won't feel as bad as when it's still. Remember the feeling was quite different beetween windward and leeward sides of Caribbean islands in winter despite similar dews. 70°F dews with trade winds and temps in the mid-80°F feel heavenly. Though i'm not sure how windy Palm Beach Gardens is. Note: I'm note saying the an Antilles winter day feels as humid as a summer day in Orlando!

Most importantly, AC is everywhere in Florida, but nowhere to be found in NI (I assume). So if you're a heat hater, you can't escape the weather. I, for one, would really enjoy that odd humid and warm day, knowing how the average summer weather is.

Yea maybe that is what it is. Plus we were at the pool most of the time.

But it definitely didn't feel too bad

In the second sentence, he clearly contends that NI not only gets hot, but "sticky" aswell. He asserts that Florida is not quite as hot and humid as NI when it rains.

Ofcourse, this is notwithstanding the fact that the entire state of Florida has average summer overnight lows higher than NI's average summer highs, with Florida's highs being nearly double that of NI. Infact, I am pretty certain the average summer dewpoint in Florida is higher than NI's actual high temps.

I think I speak for everyone here, when I say HERP DE DERP
I think we've seen the entire gamut here. NI is oppressively hotter than Florida in the summertime, and colder and snowier than Winnipeg in winter . If we were to listen to owen and not have ny knowledge of climate, you'd think where he lives is Dfa not the Cfb that he actually has
