I had a friend from South Florida who said A/C wasn't needed every day in the summer, though it depended on the house (sounded like his, or rather his parents, was well ventilated). However, he had the heat on in his Portland apartment in early July (why would you want you room cold?).
Only when it rained and it was not the stickiness we get here when its hot. It will be interesting to see how I find it this time being inland and about 3c warmer.

Are you suggesting NI is more humid than Florida on hot days?

That makes no sense, dew points are much higher on average in Florida. Though if you were there in the winter Florida won't feel humid.

He pretty much is. Let's analyse his post:

What we can see here, is that he doesn't think Florida is humid.
In the second sentence, he clearly contends that NI not only gets hot, but "sticky" aswell. He asserts that Florida is not quite as hot and humid as NI when it rains.
Ofcourse, this is notwithstanding the fact that the entire state of Florida has average summer overnight lows higher than NI's average summer highs, with Florida's highs being nearly double that of NI. Infact, I am pretty certain the average summer dewpoint in Florida is higher than NI's actual high temps.
I think I speak for everyone here, when I say HERP DE DERP
I have new found respect for you, even though you piss me off at times.
