I am thinking of quitting too, at least on weekdays. The buzz isn't worth the crash anymore.
Agreed. Though I must say just within the past week or so (after quitting, with a few relapses, almost three months ago) I'm finally not craving coffee even early in the morning or when I get less sleep than I need.
How can you all just "quit" coffee? If I don't have it one morning I get a debilitating headache and sick to my stomach from the withdrawal.
I suffered from headaches and withdrawal for a while afterwards. Felt very sleepy, but even when I was drinking coffee I felt sleepy and desired naps during the afternoon. I still take naps, but at least I'm not dealing with crashes. I'm able to get my day started without grabbing a cup of joe. And I think I'm sleeping better.
At this point my issue is more psychological than physical. I enjoy the taste and aroma of coffee, but I think I'm better off without it. I'll probably still drink it once in a while. Hopefully I won't fall back into drinking it everyday, but who knows what'll happen. I think the temptation will be strong during the holidays and cold season.
Hmm I very rarely feel any crash. I honestly have no desire to quit just because I enjoy it so much. Started drinking coffee more for the taste than the effect, just as with alcohol (although I'm nowhere near addiction with the latter).
NWS says below normal for the next 2 weeks, here's their 6 to 10 and 8 to 14 day outlook:
But honestly I'm waiting to hear back from Chicagogeorge and Cambium on their thoughts for the first week of December, since I trust the GFS and Euro models more than the NWS.
Glad cold rain is becoming less and less likely as we edge closer to December. I enjoy the weather here for most of the year, it's just November and March that I can't stand.
Loving this cold, rainy, dreary weather. I do feel for those who are traveling though. I'm hoping to drive home after the rainstorm tomorrow, but that's much easier to deal with than snow and ice.
