Crane flies terrify me. It just looks like a big crazy flying spider with legs dangling everywhere, and the way it wobbles errantly around the sky is so unpredictable and unnerving. Once there was one in my middle-floor bathroom, and I tried to catch it, but it somehow ended up going down my collar, or in my hair or something, when I realised I think I crapped myself, albeit not in the toilet.

Yes, that's a surprisingly high percentage. I suppose that's why galaxyman's always referring to something called "gay weather".

My most disliked insects are the horse flies. Totally reckless, fearless and very annoying.

I hate spiders. People say 'don't kill them', but if they don't want to die, they should stay out of my house. Duh. Although I usually let them out nowadays.. I used to get the nearest shoe and hit them repeatedly.

I found a black spider in the corner of the living room with like 30 baby spiders on the web yesterday... I sprayed them with some polishing thing... babies died but mother is still alive

Oh wow.. I actually found hatched spider eggs in my bathroom. And then I started seeing loads of spiders. And then I found three big dead spiders in my bathroom light, probably the mother and the father she tried to eat. Well, if I see them, they will definitely die, because I do not want loads of big spiders in my house.

I had a spider couple here in spring. Found first a small offspring, killed it, but didn't find the source. Then another one, but it led me to their "home", and luckily there was only the adult couple and no terrible 30 baby spider armada. Killed them as well and been spider-free since.

If I see one again, I will hunt it down vigorously.

I usually use the "Thor's revenge" method. That is taking a newspaper and just crush the poor bastards. A bit twisting and the victims will usually stick onto the newspaper.

---

But jeez if the rats starts to surface if its getting real cold for long this winter. I'm filing a complaint.

theres a lot more spiders in ~England than in continental climates... its because they dont get killed during the winter so easily, its too warm. ugh spiders are not uselful anymore I can get rid of the flies and insects on my own, and with sprays so they should just dissapear

Yes, another good thing with cold winters: kills the insects and palm trees.
