and yeah people are just used to it being very open, you see gay man holding hands in front of 2 muslim women in Niqab lol

but then, i think most of UK cities with population larger than 200k are gay friendly, maybe not as open as Brighton but still.
Brighton is definitely the most open, more open than London in my opinion. But you're right, all big UK cities are tolerant and open-minded when it comes to homosexuality. We have a big Pride event here every year and there are loads of heterosexual people who take part, including some older people.

i had to change trains in London Bridge station and saw some gay people... but im sure its not a big deal in central London either right? surely in a city of 8 million people nobody cares that much.

In central London (most0 people wouldn't care thats obvious, but in inner city areas surrounding central London people will look and stare I wouldn't be surprised if you got something thrown at you, seriously. I live fairly close to London Bridge, but the difference between here and there is stark.

one thing that ive noticed in Brighton is that even the "chav" population here seems a lot more friendly, they seem to be OK with gays here...
same with homeless people. I sat on a bench 2 days ago near Brighton Marina and one homeless guy sat next to me and started chatting, he said somethign about women and i said "i dont know cause im gay"... all he said was, oh thats nice I hope you will like it here in Brighton, its a friendly city.
