It's still breaking your national record. 30.8C is the hottest temperature EVER recorded in your country. How isn't that impressive? It doesn't matter if its not hot, it's still a record.

If we were topping out at 37C today with a chance of 39 or 40C tomorrow, wouldn't that be impressive?
It would still be a record, and I'd be absolutely delighted if it did happen!

It'd be impressive, no delight here. It's hot and humid enough, and I don't have A/C. Don't want to bake and do want to sleep comfortably at night. Neat experience, but I have elsewhere. Our record is around 37°C as well, though other stations in the region have recorded slightly higher.

I would be thrilled if we break the old record temp. 36.0C with a nice high dewpoint. The record is 99 freaking years old!

It'd be interesting if we broke our record of 34.4C which was set 23 years ago. It'd take something really special for that to happen though.

Them Irish people must be dying lol when was the lst time Dublin had 30c for example? i dont think it even happened this century
