Happy for a 45°F partly sunny day, the calm before the storm! Heading here after battering the west coast this weekend!

I don't mind snow but not crazy about the mixture they are predicting plus once we are close to April, I'd rather not see snow!

Very, very and very happy after getting nearly 200mm of rain over past 4 days.
It's like I've died and gone to heaven!
I were very jealous watching all - well almost all of Oz - get all the rains over past few months whereas we often missed out...
Now it's our turn and we await more "big" rainfall events with bated breath...
Much deserved after the dreadfully (and sickly) driest Feb in 32/29 years depending on site!
Great to see lawns and gardens becoming very lush and green quickly after 6 weeks of horrible dry weather.
Last month (Feb) may have been dry but I take much comfort in that it weren''t that sunny either .
Just 159 hours of sun for the whole month - cloudiest Feb. in 8 years and well below average
Also this month (March) hasn't exactly churned out the sunshine hours (98 hrs ending 21st March) - thank goodness

One good thing about the forecast for today and tomorrow, we are south of the line where over a foot of snow is expected.

Happy to be waking up to unexpectedly overcast conditions.

But even happier that there's a winter storm watch!

It's been yet another beautiful sunny, calm day today with a warm-feeling high of 14C. I've seen a better run of March weather before, two years ago in Spain we had three weeks of literally unbroken sunshine and highs of 20-25C, but it's not the same if it's in a foreign country, eh? Best thing about today is though that we put our clocks forward, so the sun's still in the sky at 7pm and it won't be dark for another hour

Even more so happier given further heavy & frequent showers fell over the weekend as well as this morning .
So nice to see lawns and gardens all green and lush instead of that horrible brown and dead colour as were the case two weeks ago
Amazing how we were, two weeks ago, staring at our driest March in 25 years which thankfully hasn't been the case!
Rose Bay has now measured (to 9am today) 212mm of rain easily making it the highest March total (and about time after 5 consecutive instances of horrendously quite dry Marchs) since 2000 (238mm) and the first occurrence for a month to record over 200mm since May (247mm) last year
Also MTD sunshine ending 28th stands at 144 hours, even allowing for the next 2 days, (overcast this morning, horrid sun beamed out it's evil rays all arvo ), the monthy total will remain below 175 hours, first such occurrence to do so since 2000 (144) and about time we got a cloudier than usual March!

Happy that this is another beautifully clear day, one of 4 to end March with. Above normal sunshine (yet again for March) gives me hope that this year may yet reverse the drop after 2008, with 2010 100 hours below the 30-year average ending at that date. Still not confident of an overdue drier than average year however.

Happy because I just had three days off and will get to sleep in an hour later tomorrow due to daylight saving ending.

Thanks for reminding me of this one!
Daylight saving used to end on the last week-end in March, now it has gone for an extra week to the first week-end in April since 2008/9, and by now I have had a gutful.
Worse, they brought it forward from the last week-end in October, to the first week-end in October. (The Labour Day long week-end)
It's ok for those working office hours in Sydney, not so for those who work shift work in places like the Hunter Valley like myself.

3rd day in a row with thunder/lightning. This one is reflecting off the sea ( still dark here). I might get off the computer if it gets any closer.
