It has gotten into the low 80's but that is not common. We get a fair number of days in the low 70's but still keep a fleece handy in summer as it can easily dip into the 50's.
I lived in East TN before moving to chilly Scotland. Loved the spring and autumn but summers did get a bit sweaty.
