Some crazy rain last night. The rain started around 10 or so and finally ended around 7 this morning. We got an inch and a half at our house. Some areas in the same county west of us got over 2 1/2 inches of rain overnight. Just some scattered lighter showers right now. Should get a bit of a break later this morning but rain picks up again this evening before ending overnight.

European weeklies are showing disconnected view for early November with cooler signals from upper levels and warmer guidance at surface. Clusters are quite divided too...Niña volatility potentially ahead.

This has been the hottest start to October ever, at least across northern Indiana, averaging 10 or more degrees above normal so far and it shattered previous records by A LOT!

This tweet was even before Seattle set records for cold on October 12th and 13th. The 12th was particularly cold with temperatures more typical of mid-February than mid-October.
