Snow on Mt Washington, New Hampshire tomorrow.

Here's what NWS Burlington has to say. -25°C at 27,000'. -5°C at 5000'.

Quote:
National Weather Service Burlington VT
451 AM EDT Sun Jun 2 2019

Monday, the deep upper low swings directly over our region, ushering
in an anomalously cold pool aloft. Sub 540 1000-500mb thickness
values will spread over northern New England through the day, with
500 mb temperatures dropping to the -25C range. Daytime heating will
result in steepening lapse rates and numerous showers will develop
during the afternoon. Wet bulb zero heights will be below 5000 ft,
so any of the more vigorous showers will be capable of producing
graupel/small hail. While Equilibrium Levels will only be 15-20 kft,
temperatures aloft are cold enough that this would be enough for a
few thunderstorms. Have therefore added a slight chance of thunder
to the forecast for tomorrow afternoon. Highs tomorrow will only be
in the 50s, with a brisk west wind during the afternoon.

Current temps with upper heights. Upper Low near Hudson Bay right now ready to dive into Quebec. Another little trough in the SouthWest looks like but no cold air mass around like last time.

30s in Minnesota this morning. Cold airmass diving down

Sunny and dry today but cool especially by the lake which wont get out of the upper 50s and low 60s. The suburbs will reach the low 70's.

The GFS 6-10 looks toasty everywhere but western Europe

But the 11-15 day looks warmer throughout

and of course it's showing no signs of summer for us....

of course the Canadian model has the exact opposite forecast for the Midwest and Western US for the 6-10 day period... I wonder which will be correct.

the Canadian agrees with the GFS in the 11-15 day.... NO SUMMER here

Is the Canadian model ever correct for the US? I've found it isn't

Usually not. I don't know which is worse, the CFS or Canadian SIP

I don't care what the temperature is anymore, just keep it sunny and I'm good. The 7-day looks to have that in spades. We could see more sunshine in the next week around here than in all of May.
