I am happy with the up and down in temps swings. Now if i could get 1" of rain per week i would be happy for this kind of pattern to lock in.

It was absolutely frigid last night. My 3" snow depth dropped my backyard temperature to....

9F !!! Last night

High was only 25F today, and it was below 20F at noon and again below by 4 pm, quite chilly. Its already 15F as of 830 pm, I'm expecting another potential for a 0s low again.

Position of clouds (high vs low) or wind speed or direction are just some of the factors that can change perception. December so far has been mostly sunny and cold. There hasn't been a wind storm yet. There is a reason most ski areas are not open yet due to lack of snow. But I understand this is the weather forum and people mostly talk about numbers.

November 30

December 6 (most of the current week has looked like that)
Yesterday (December 8), NOAA recorded 90% cloud cover. And the day actually was 90% cloud cover, if not 100%, i.e. overcast. The reason why November felt milder than normal was that it was milder in terms of temperature.

LKJ1988, I just saw that the Tarpon Springs has a tornado warning from winter storm Diego. Hope you get all the rain you want but no damaging winds.

It got hairy for about 10 mins. 2" of rain in less than 10 mins. So i gotta give AJ props for this go around. Gust got up to about 45mph. Line came thru fast and is all gone now.

So to be fair AJ won this go around. Now this kind of weather is what i live for during the fall and winter. Heavy rain and big temp swings every 3 to 5 days. I just love it.

24 degrees low last night in SE Pa, 18 degrees the night before. I guess we can't complain about the cold because it was that which kept that winter storm to the south. I would like to get about 6 inches just before Christmas.
