Oh okay so london is not way above normal then?? wtf are you on about. London avg high is in the upper 40's right now and low 50's in March and yet you claim that is barely above avg. Atlanta will have temps of 60F in a few days. Even we will reach 60F. Stop the bs that NW Europe is not way above avg yet again. Here is hoping you have one of your usual lousy cool rainy summers.

Yesterday afternoon, I had a thunderstorm with cloud-to-ground lightning and temperatures in the upper 30s up here in northeast Georgia. This is a much stronger cold-air damming event than was forecast. I don't mind, though, because this is what helps me cope with the relentless heat and humidity from mid-May through mid-September.

High today will be 12°C, still not exceptional for February. And even tomorrow 13°C is nothing exceptional. We do not have cool, rainy summers. We have sunny, warm summers with occasional rain but dry in the south.

You cold haters should thank the Polar Vortex for killing off some nasty little bugs

That's all relative. I consider my summers to be just warm so compared with the US, and most of Europe your summers would be considered cool and not really sunny.

Back to winter here which is quickly winding down meteorologically speaking. Storm tracks will bring some milder air northward this week, but next week as we start March it will feel more like January.

GFS is showing some brutal late season cold for the Central US next week. I might not be done with below zero temps just yet

Euro showing nearly the same thing maybe even colder than the GFS farther east

CFSv2 says that the Midwest won't really see a sustained warm up until mid to late March. East Coast about a week earlier.

light snow already changing to freezing drizzle here
