Strong convergence over this area led to intense rates.

5.43" here just today.. 17hrs. Rain ended now. A whole months worth (more than a month) in 1 day...with a front only.

I knew this sort of weather pattern would materialize for your location, months in advance too, meanwhile in the Indianapolis area, this looks to be among the latest in the season for a 70+ Degree dew point day on record and at the very least the latest day with a dew point of 70+ in recent climatology in Indianapolis.

dewpoint swings are always more dramatic than temperature swings; and dewpoint swings get larger as summer leaves
