Brr. I remember 2009 and 2010 having a cold October; looks like we're overdue. Wasn't 2016 cold, too? Remember it being very cold for a while, maybe not as long?
Latest GFS6z. 6 Events coming up next 2 weeks. Obviously subject to change for the last 3. Not getting into details now. No point. Rain & storms for everyone for this Friday & Saturday except above 4000'.
Meteorologists should catch up on their sleep now if this winter will be active like this.
next week looks wet; hard to read the dates on your image
Looks an awful lot like potentially a 2013-2014 repeat if that setup comes to fruition, the National Weather Service just revised its November outlook and its calling for a colder and stormier than normal month of November at least for Central Indiana, me thinks that if that blog persists that the winter of 2018-2019 would be similar if not just a tad bit more severe than the winter of 2013/2014.
Started off cold and cloudy to 11am.
Sun came out started feeling nice and fallish
Now sun hiding again and back to chilly.
Might as well just start the sub freezing days.

12z got it too. Arctic blast. 5000' temps down to -10C and -15C over those warm lakes will sure kick them in gear. Feels about time it usually does though. Mid November. Right? #NoFall

Yeah sorry, used the resize version. I'm sure you played the loop by now anyway.
A decent Halloween. Hit 61 degrees at ORD, and 60F at MDW, and IKK. A good deal of sun early, then some clouds towards evening but dry for the trick or treated
Look for some 90's inland in FL Thurs. Another Nov with 90's again.
