Another day in October with temps struggling past low 50s and coming home to a chilly house. Incredible 2nd half of this month.
I never had to bring in arm loads every other day in October.
50F outside. 61F inside.
Now in the 40s at 8:30pm.
barely above 50°F on Long Island at noon. With wind, chilly even in the sun. Interesting it hasn't affected the timing of the leaves; September & early October warmth must matter more. Feels like this is the latest foliage season ever.

Feels like it. A reminder lack of daylight is incorrect to use for foliage. Weather matters!
30.5° outside this morning. Didn't expect that. Wood stove relit. Incredible amount of heat/wood needed for October. Too bad the monthly Avg wont show this. Past 2 weeks will though
Latest GFS6z. 6 Events coming up next 2 weeks. Obviously subject to change for the last 3. Not getting into details now. No point. Rain & storms for everyone for this Friday & Saturday except above 4000'.
Meteorologists should catch up on their sleep now if this winter will be active like this.
High yesterday was 56F, low this morning was 39F. Heading for a high of 61F today quite warm, with rain expected for the majority of the day
