Real Spring has Finally Arrived in my area Today. Dandelions are sprouting up in my backyard and elsewhere (last year they first appeared on April 19/April 20, normally they first appear between April 25 and May 1).

Nice to hear. sounds like you're about 1 week behind me. Dandelions started sprouting last week but more so after the heat we had.

Yup.. Socked in clouds all day here with moisture missing us to the north and south. Or West & East which ever you prefer.

Nice NW flow behind this southerly flow but nothing cold anymore.. See loop in next post

Check it out.. Next 2 weeks per GFS. The digging isn't coming south too far in the Northeast anymore. It tries, and tries, and tries but gets blocked... The coldest air stays in Quebec. Naturally. But I don't see any freeze or frost threats anymore..

Meanwhile there are deeper troughs over the Rockies than Eastern U.S. Oh boy. Not a fan of that for Summer. lol

I have 5.16" since April 1.

31.15" since January 1, which is already more than half the normal annual amount.

High at IKK was 77F today before the wind switched to the north chilly lake waters helped keep the city stations in the upper 60s with lakeshore temps in the low 60s. Nice and sunny though

That's almost 4x what I have on the year, and 100x what Midland, TX has.

I think i had 4" In Jan, 1" in Feb and around 1" in March and 4.20" in Apr. Now compare that to last year, under 2" in Jan, 1" in feb and no rain in March or Apr. So i am batting around 10" so far this year and that is good even with a below normal Feb and March.
